About

The core of our Community Benefit program funding is ensuring access to quality health care in the communities we serve. Grant funding supports primary and preventive care, chronic disease management, behavioral health services and impactful wellness initiatives to promote healthy living.
Grant Programs

Building a Healthy Community

Each year, El Camino Healthcare District and El Camino Health provide grants to help community-based organizations, clinics and schools meet the health needs of communities in Santa Clara County. The annual Community Benefit Report provides an overview of the grant programs and the critical services these organizations provide to achieve positive outcomes. The 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) informs the Community Benefit Program focus. El Camino Health, in collaboration with other local health systems and the community, updates the CHNA every three years.

The five top priorities as identified through this community-driven report are:

  • Healthcare Access & Delivery (including Oral Health)
  • Behavioral Health (including Domestic Violence and Trauma)
  • Diabetes & Obesity
  • Chronic Conditions (other than Diabetes and Obesity)
  • Economic Stability (including Food Insecurity, Housing and Homelessness)
