Clinic Masking Guidelines
Thank you for allowing El Camino Health to care for you and your loved ones. Safety remains our highest priority. By order of the Santa Clara County Public Health Department, masking is required for all patients, companions and staff from November 1st through March 31st during the winter respiratory virus season.
Masks are available throughout the clinic. Individuals with signs of respiratory illness such as fever, cough and runny nose are always required to wear a mask in the clinic throughout the year.
All individuals should follow the Clinic Guidelines outlined below.
Clinic Guidelines:
- Masking is required during the winter respiratory virus period. Wear a clinic-provided mask or your own well-fitted surgical mask, N95, KN95 or KF94 mask. Cloth masks and masks with valves are not allowed.
- Use hand sanitizer when you are in the clinic, and again when you enter and exit the patient room.
- Companions 17 years old or younger must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
- Masks are required of patients and companions in the exam room when patient is in protective precautions and/or respiratory isolation.
