Community Benefit partner Health Mobile provides dental care, including dental exams, advanced treatment, cancer screening and oral health education.
When families hit hard times, dental care often gets neglected, which can lead to years of health problems and suffering. Community Benefit partner Health Mobile helps fill the gap for people who need dental care but can’t afford it, providing onsite dental treatment at locations across San Jose and Santa Clara.
Health Mobile specially made mobile clinics bring vital services directly to the people who need them. Grant funding helps Health Mobile provide not just preventive care, such as regular dental examinations, cleaning and X-rays, but also fillings, root canals and extractions. Dental visits also provide a chance to screen for oral cancers, and to educate clients about tobacco cessation and dental hygiene.
Excellent dental care is critical to health and quality of life and has been linked with improved health outcomes. The onsite care provided by Health Mobile helps support our shared mission of improving healthcare access and delivery across our service area.
