Shreyas Mallur, MD, is chief quality officer (CQO) for El Camino Health. As CQO, Dr. Mallur is responsible for ensuring that El Camino Health provides the highest quality and safest care for our patients. In this position, he oversees quality, patient safety, infection prevention, accreditation and public reporting, clinical documentation and medical staff services. He will play a critical role in furthering our Safety First/Mission Zero work toward achieving zero harm for our patients, visitors and workforce.

Prior to being named as CQO, Dr. Mallur served El Camino Health most recently as interim chief quality officer, and previous to that as the enterprise associate chief medical officer (ACMO). As ACMO, Dr. Mallur was responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise to the senior leadership team, the medical staff and clinical employees throughout the organization in support of clinical activities, clinical quality, patient safety and patient experience. Prior to that role, he was associate chief medical officer for the Los Gatos campus from April 2016 to August 2022.

Dr. Mallur received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India. He served internal medicine residencies at Highland Hospital in Oakland, Ridge Park Hospital in Rochester, New York and Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Manipal, India.
