Congresswoman Anna Eshoo speaks at Maternal Mental Health Symposium Reception

Congresswoman Eshoo recognized the progress made by labor and delivery teams and mental health and addiction care providers at El Camino Health.

In October, Anna Eshoo, U.S. Representative for California's 18th congressional district, was the featured speaker at the El Camino Health Foundation's reception on the eve of the Scrivner Center's 5th Annual Maternal Mental Health Symposium. The symposium drew more than 1,400 people from 33 countries and 39 states to hear from international experts and people who have received mental healthcare before or after pregnancy.

Congresswoman Eshoo recognized the progress made by labor and delivery teams and mental health and addiction care providers at El Camino Health. She also discussed her recent legislation to address improving maternal mental healthcare access and outcomes.

"I am here to honor and thank you for your magnificent work," she said. "You are saving lives, respecting the dignity of each human being and the babies that are our future."
