Mountain View, CA – El Camino Health has earned Level 9 honors in the 2022 Digital Health Most Wired Survey from The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). The survey identifies and recognizes healthcare organizations that exemplify best practices through their use of information technology (IT). El Camino Health achieved Level 9 recognition in the acute category for the third year in a row, and the ambulatory category for the second year in a row.
"For more than 60 years, we've been dedicated to giving patients high-quality care utilizing the most advanced technology and research," said Deb Muro, Chief Information Officer at El Camino Health. "This recognition from CHIME represents our team's commitment to excellence and advancing care, and El Camino Health's deeply rooted culture of innovation."
CHIME surveyed more than 38,000 organizations in this year's Digital Health Most Wired program, which are certified as Levels 1-10. Organizations certified as Level 9 and 10 are considered health IT leaders who have shown the most innovative use of technology and leveraged IT to improve patient safety and outcomes. Only six hospitals in California earned Level 9 or 10 distinctions in both the acute and ambulatory categories. El Camino Health ranked above peers in categories like analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure, and patient engagement.
"We are proud to honor El Camino Health's exceptional dedication to excellence in digital health," said Russell P. Branzell, president and CEO of CHIME. "Your pioneering performance in the industry inspires other organizations by example. Patients in communities around the world receive better care when you drive change through digital transformation, as you have proven through your success in this rigorous program."
The Digital Health Most Wired survey and recognition program serves as a comprehensive "Digital Health Check-up" for healthcare organizations across the world. The scope of the CHIME Digital Health Most Wired survey reflects the progress of leading healthcare providers as they advance patient care.
