Mountain View, CA - January 9, 2012 - The El Camino Hospital Board of Directors plans to expand the size of the Board from its current six members to nine members by the end of June, 2012. The Board has retained recruitment firm Russell Reynolds to conduct the search of interested individuals who are subject matter and strategic experts in the fields of finance, quality measures and health care policy.
"As the complexity of the health care environment continues to evolve, it is important that we prepare our organization to best meet the imminent yet unknown challenges ahead," says John Zoglin, board chairman. "The hospital and the community will stand to gain from the additional expertise placed on our board and committees."
Simultaneously, the Hospital Board has approved the recruitment of up to 15 individuals with strong subject matter expertise to be appointed as external (non-director) members of the six Board Committees that advise and assist the Board of Directors. The firm of Wilcox, Miller, Nelson has been selected to conduct the search for new members of the Corporate Compliance/Privacy and Audit; Governance; and Quality, Patient Care and Patient Experience Committees; the firm of Diversified Search will lead the search for members of the Finance, Investment and Executive Compensation Committees.
Those interested in applying or nominating a candidate for a Hospital Board seat or committee position, should contact Pamela Marshbank for more details.
The deadline to apply or nominate a candidate has been extended for all positions until late February 2012.
