Mountain View, CA - April 1, 2011 - Today, El Camino Hospital announced that the El Camino Hospital Board's CEO search committee, led by Patricia Einarson, MD, and including incoming Board Chair John Zoglin, has named the executive search firm of Russell Reynolds to conduct the CEO search. Russell Reynolds, in business for more than 40 years, has more than 300 consultants based in 39 offices worldwide and has been identified as the 6th largest healthcare executive search firm in the United States.
"As we move forward, we will be soliciting input from stakeholders about the qualities and experiences they see as most valuable for the next CEO," says Dr. Einarson. "Our Russell Reynolds team has made some outstanding placements, including two here at El Camino Hospital: Chief Medical Officer Dr. Eric Pifer and Chief Information Officer Greg Walton, both considered to be among the country's top executives in their fields."
The Board also announced that it will accelerate its customary mid-year rotation of officers. John Zoglin, currently the vice chair of the El Camino Hospital Board, will assume the chairperson's position effective at the Board's regular meeting in April. This will provide additional continuity in Board leadership during the search for a new CEO as Mr. Zoglin and Dr. Einarson comprise the CEO transition committee. Current chair Wes Alles will become past chairperson and remain as one of the Board's five members.
Other Board officer changes effective in April include: Uwe Kladde, current secretary-treasurer rotating to vice chair; and Dr. Einarson rotating to secretary-treasurer. David Reeder, the previous chairperson, will continue as a member.
