It is with great sadness that we share the news of the unexpected passing of Robert Quinn, MD, president of the El Camino Health Medical Network. Dr. Quinn was a highly respected healthcare executive and friend to all who worked with him. Dr. Quinn had just completed his third week at El Camino Health, when he passed away on December 22, at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife, Polly, and three children - Emily, Olivia, and Matthew.
Dr. Quinn was an exceptional leader who had a deep passion for improving healthcare delivery and fostering strong relationships within the medical community.
Dr. Quinn joined El Camino Health from the Dignity Health Medical Foundation, where he was responsible for provider alignment, strategy and operations for 1,300 providers, 3,900 employees, and 2,500 contracted physicians. He served in leadership positions within the Dignity Health Medical Foundation and Dignity Health Dominican Hospital for nearly three decades, while also maintaining a successful physiatrist practice.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to Dr. Quinn's family, friends, colleagues and those he previously worked with at Dignity Health. May his legacy continue to inspire, and his memory be a source of comfort to all who knew him.
