El Camino Hospital Foundation and Whole Foods kicked off a three-phase philanthropic partnership in April. From April 10 through July 2 the Foundation is the beneficiary of the Los Altos branch’s Nickels for Nonprofits program and will receive the five cent bag credits that customers donate. During phase two, the store will donate a variety of products like baby lotion and diaper cream for the hospital’s community-based classes for new mothers and to the Women’s Hospital. El Camino Hospital Foundation was also the beneficiary of the store’s 5% day on May 24. Whole Foods stores in Campbell, Santa Clara, Los Gatos, San Jose (Blossom Hill Road and The Alameda), and Cupertino participated and donated $32,865.83, five percent of that day’s net profits to support the hospital’s women’s health services.
