1-Minute Tip: Music can brighten any mood, so turn off the news and turn on some tunes! Before you begin driving, use a music app or pop in a CD to listen to music while you drive. This limits any distractions of choosing music while you drive.
5-Minute Tip: Review your route. Whether you’re travelling near or far, review your route ahead of time to ease any stress while you’re on the road. You might also consider using navigation or getting a phone mount in your car so you can occasionally glance down at a map app while you drive, hands-free.
15-Minute Tip: Replenish your safety supplies. Stock up on small bottles of hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, and a variety of masks, and have them all readily accessible at home, in the car, or in backpacks. Make sure the masks fit properly, and replace them if they are thinning or stretched out.
30-Minute Tip: Fill the tank and clean the car. The day before a busy work week or upcoming trip, go to a local gas station and fill your car up with gas. While the tank is filling, take a few moments to declutter your car of random receipts or any trash. Having a clean car and a full gas tank ensures that all trips in the car, short or long, start out smoothly.
