Looking to add more protein to your diet, but tired of consuming too many protein shakes? Try this quick and easy microwave mug cake for a delicious treat that’s a whole lot more satisfying than just gulping down a drink!
Ingredients:
1 scoop of protein powder (20-36 grams, depending on type of powder used)
2 Tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa power
2 Tablespoons of almond flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ - 1 Tablespoon of sugar (optional – many protein powders don’t need any additional sweetener)
1 whole egg
3-4 Tablespoons milk (any kind)
Directions:
Whisk dry ingredients together until completely combined and free of lumps.
Mix egg and milk together until completely combined, then add to dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
Lightly spray a mug with non-stick cooking spray and pour batter in.
Cook for :45 seconds in the microwave for a cake with a texture of molten lava. For a firmer cake, bake a full minute.
