

1 Minute Tip: Feeling overwhelmed? Close your eyes and recite the alphabet backwards. Not only is it a great exercise for your brain, but you’ll also have to focus intently for a minute or two – which will help clear your head before re-engaging with your day.
5 Minute Tip: Replace the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Doing this every time we “spring forward” with the time change is a great way to ensure these critical devices are always working and keeping you safer.
15 Minute Tip: Take a few extra minutes to enjoy your lunch – even if it’s at your desk. Take small bites and chew each one thoroughly. Not only will you enjoy your food more, but that will also give your body time to signal your brain when you’ve had enough. Your digestive system will also thank you!
30 Minute Tip: Crack open that book that’s been gathering dust on your bedside table and spend 30 minutes reading before falling asleep. Reading is a great way to unwind just before sleep, and a physical book eliminates any electronic screens that could interfere with your sleep. This is a great habit to help deal with the time change!
