September Health Tips

September 2021 Health Tips

Take steps to refresh your life and home to make this Fall season healthier!

1-Minute Tip: As the weather cools and we transition into staying inside more often, take out a duster and remove dust and grime from common spaces, such as the TV, bed frames, counters, etc. Do this every day or several times a week to keep seasonal allergies at bay.

5-Minute Tip: Sort through old masks and throw out any that are overly worn or stretched out. Acquire new masks and filters to replace the old ones.

15-Minute Tip: Check local clinics, drugstores and grocery stores to see when flu shots will be available. While most don’t require an appointment, it’s important to block out a day and time on your calendar so you won’t forget.

30-Minute Tip: Take an epsom bath! Colder weather can cause drier skin and achy bones. Add epsom salts (which have magnesium and sulfate) to a warm bath and soak for 30 minutes. Epsom salts can help alleviate aches and pains, and may even help promote better sleep!
